What is it?
"Inflamation of the skin which produces scaling, flaking, thickening, weeping, crusting, colour changes and itching"
Possible underlying problems:
* Low levels of hydrochloric acid in the stomach * "Leaky" gut syndrome (Where the intestines become porus and allow tiny particles of undigested food to enter the bloodstream) * Candidiasis (an overgrowth of yeast in the system * Food allergies * Genetic based weakness in an enzyme called delta-6-desaturase (which is responsible for converting essential fatty acids into anti inflamatory prostaglandins.
If the condition is "allergic contact dermatitis" then contact with perfumes, cosmetics, rubber, medicated creams and ointments, latex and various metals from jewelry will compound the problem. Stress can also exacerbate the problem.
"Dermatitis herpetiformis is a very itchy form asociated with intestinal and immune disorders and may be triggered by the consumption of dairy products or gluten.
